Our English Springer Spaniel Max has gone by many names in his life so far , He was named Max on the day we got him, the name was suggested by my best friends daughter and we loved it ! Within a few weeks we had a pet name of Pooh Face ( can any one guess why ) , poor boy ! As the months passed we started calling him Booboo which has now transformed to Booboobear ! It's a good job he is a very clever Springer Spaniel or he would be totally confused who he is ! .
We are sure he understands everything we say !
When we first had Max we had a Welsh springer Spaniel, she was a very clam dog, she was very ladylike and gentle. She came from a Breeder in Cornwall, Her Father won best of breed at Crufts many years back according to the Breeder. Her Pedigree name was Kenwyn Kylowen Sadly she died in march 2011 at the age of 16. Our first Springer Spaniel ( English ) was Jessie, she was as mad as a hatter ! Ball mad, as so many springers are. Her personality was huge, very clever and full of mischief , always keeping us on our toes ! She died in August 2009 at the age of 16 years. Both had very happy fulfilled lives with us and bought us a huge amount of joy. Jessie came from a Farm in Cornwall, we paid £10 for her and they gave us about £20 worth of Food, Toys, Bowels etc
Max's best friend is Oscar , a big gentle Lab ! He has been like a father to Max , teaching him a lot in a short space of time.
Alfie is Max's brother, born approx 8 months after Max. He has a very different personality, he is Ball mad ! He will do anything to get someone to though a ball for him !
Max loves to interact with all other dogs, he is not interested in chasing a ball at all, he loves to chase other dogs, cats, birds and deer !
Max also has a laparatsu and a chiwawa as step sisters . Mimi and Pip are my mums dogs , max is 3 times their size, but plays so gently, something Oscar taught him as a pup ! Mum has had dogs all of her life, usually rescues dogs from bad homes and give them a good life. Pip the Chiwawa is her latest dog, she must have had a bad life before she meet my mum. She was so timid, so scared of anybody, especially if your hands moved quickly !� It has taken a while but she is really progressing and starting to trust people again all thanks to my mum.
The Latest Addition to Max‘s life is a new playmate called Buddy he is a Red Fox Lab, he was born June 2011 , He lives with Oscar who is using his parenting skills to show Buddy the ropes.

We can look after your dog ,

We live in a Secluded Dog Friendly Bungalow in Warsash, off the beaten track !
Our Back Garden is fully enclosed 6ft Fence, NO cages or Kennels, so your dog can run free all day.

* please note if you would like your dog to be kept indoors all day ( except lead walks ) this is fine.
We work from Home so we are here 24-7 to keep an eye on and look after your dog.
Walking your dog can be on lead or off lead. We usually take them to the Strawberry fields area in Warsash, Hampshire, where if off lead they can meet new friends, Run Play and Swim in the sea, Holly Hill Country Park, or Walks in the extensive Woodland surrounding our home. Weekend Walks are usually in the New Forrest.
*please note we must know your dog will respond to us and come back to us before we will let them off Lead.

Overnight Stays,
Depending on your own house rules, we can adjust ours to Suit.
Max has a bed in our bedroom, He come up for a 10 min cuddle on our bed before he gets into his.
If you prefer a closed room on his - her own for their bedroom this is possible, or they can have the run of the house.
If your dog prefers a crate to sleep in we do have one that can be used.

Your Dog and Max
Max will keep your dog as entertained and as active as he / she wants to be. Max Loves All other dogs, Loves to play but also loves to sleep. He first came when we had our Welsh Springer Age 15 who had hip dysplasia, she was not very active , partially sighted and nearly deaf . ( I personally think she was not deaf at all, as she could hear the bag of treats opening form 100 meters, she just could not hear you if you told her to get off the sofa ! ) Anyway, With this as Maxs first main experience with other dogs, Kay ( Welsh Springer ) taught him how to behave and that not all other dogs want to play with him. He learned this lesson well and knows when a dog wants to play with him and when they dont.
He Loves young and small dogs , See Max & Pip photo, he is so Gentle . He also loves Large Dogs, Oscar who became his surrogate father has given him alot of respect for the larger breeds.
Unfortunately for Max he has been Castrated, to there is no way of any unwanted pregnancies ! However bitches in season� are not accepted , sorry.
We have 2 Children who 11 and 12 years old, both love dogs but also know how to treat dogs well.

One Doggy Guest at a time.
We are not a Kennels, we are a loving happy family who loves dogs. We Only have one doggy guest at at time so we can give him or her the family love and attention that they are used too.
The only exception is if your household has more than one dog. We will Accept up to 2 doggy Guests from the same household.
So the earlier you book your dogs Holiday with us the better, to ensure we have no other dogs booked in.
