About Me/ Company

Dog walks in the woods is a dog walking service for Gorsley, Newent, Ross on Wye, and the surrounding area.
I also offer a friendly, reliable and caring service for all your animal needs, whether it’s a chicken, rabbit, dog, cat, horse or goat.
After working in animal rescue for most of my life I realised that it can sometimes be difficult to balance a working life and caring for animals.
My aim is to help as many animals and owners in my area, and keep animals in homes and away from rescue centres.
I have some amazing walks in my area, and Dymock woods are on my doorstep. I also have a fenced paddock, if owners prefer me to exercise their dog off lead and away from other animals.
If you are away I have facilities at home to house some small animals in my stable block, or if you prefer they can be looked after in your own home.
I have been DBS Checked, Canine First Aid trained, and I am fully insured.

Other Services

Group dog walks

This service is ideal for dogs that love to interact with other dogs and love to play. Dogs will only be let off the lead if the owner has given written permission and the dogs recall is good. I will never walk more than 3 dogs at a time in a group walk, which will ensure I have control at all times.
Your dog will have a fantastic hour’s dog walk, though I can tailor this if your dog has specific needs. All my walks are carried out in green spaces, so it’s safe and interesting for your dog to walk on or off the lead, providing lots of exercise, fun and frolics. I vary the locations of the walks to provide variety for your dog and also look to avoid places where there are too many other dogs that I don’t know.

The safety of the dogs is my number one priority. I guarantee that your dog will return home safe, happy and tired having had great fun with his or her friends .I can tailor each walk to your dog’s individual needs and I am more than happy to play with favourite toys or to reinforce any training or routines that you have in place.

I always check that water bowls are full, wet dogs are towelled down and I can also follow any feeding or medication requests you might have.

Individual Walks

This service is for dogs that prefer one on one walking without other dogs trying to get in there way. Brilliant for older dogs and dogs that prefer human company.

Home Visits

I will come to your home and have a play with your kitten or puppy in the home or garden. This is ideal for young dogs and kittens that get bored easily if being left for long periods. Older dogs can also benefit from this service if they are finding a walk hard.

Animal care

All animals need looking after when you are away. I can care for your animals in your own home or I have a stable block and land at my property if it is suitable for your pet’s needs. I can arrange to care for rabbits, guinea pigs, pigs, cats, chickens, ducks, goats and any other animal that needs care.
