About Me/ Company

Dog Tired is located in Troon, South Ayrshire and is run and operated by myself, Sandra Ferguson. I am a member of Narps UK and have an up-to-date Disclosure Scotland check. Dog Tired was formed after a medical diagnosis and treatment gave me the opportunity to fulfil a lifetime's desire to work with dogs. I absolutely adore dogs and have, for the last 25 years, been the proud owner of German Shepherd Dogs. I currently have two young GSD brothers. Prior to this I was brought up around Shetland Sheepdogs. I have lived in Troon all my life and have spent hours and hours pounding the streets, beaches, parks and golf courses we have in our lovely town. I pride myself on a first class service for your treasured pet and will treat him/her like my own. As well as dog walking I also offer pet transportation, pop-in feeding/medication and puppy toilet visits plus pet sitting in your own home.

Previous Experience

Having a passion for dogs and living with them throughout my life, I am always learning about their behaviour. In the past I have had a nervous aggression dog who required specialised training and I learned a great deal from this experience. I have first hand experience of friendly and non-friendly dogs, placid and fiesty dogs, demanding and laid-back dogs.

Other Services

As well as dog walking I offer a Pet Transportation service carried out in a fully crated and secure van. This could include taking your pet to a veterinary or grooming appointment. I also offer a Pop-in Service to administer medication or food, or to let your puppy out for a toilet break. I also offer a Pet Sitting service carried out in your own home.
