About Me/ Company
Dog Ramblers was established by Peter Hargreaves who has over 20 years’ experience of working with competition dogs. Peter has competed with his own dogs at an international level and he’s even been a preferred judged in international dog competitions. He has a great grasp of dog psychology and he takes a non-aggressive, calm and assertive approach to interacting with dogs of all breeds. Having recently sold his successful business Peter saw a gap in the market for a professional Dog Walking and Dog Training Service in Formby, Skelmersdale, Southport, Ormskirk and surrounding areas. He therefore decided to take his passion to a new level and Dog Ramblers was born.
“We are a family business, with long life passion and love for dogs. Our focus is always to improve your dog /owner relationship and empower you to get the most out of ‘your best friend’ and therefore live a very happy and fulfilled life together.
Our goal is to make our dog training school and other dog services the best that they can be. We fully appreciate and understand that your dog is a beloved member of your family, and you want the very best for them – and that’s the service level we strive to create.
Along with the more standard products we have also created a dog boot camp for dogs that need to lose weight, plus our popular dog safaris so dogs can go out on a real adventure to the beach or parks with lakes and woods.
I personally attend different courses and seminars on a yearly basis, which keeps me up to date with the latest training techniques and methodologies. But to be truthful nothing has superseded the ‘pack leader’ approach that I have been using since I started working with dogs all those years ago.â€
Previous Experience
I have 20 years’ experience in training all types of dogs in various disciplines�� such as sniffer training, gundogs and obedience. I have also competed with my own dogs at the highest level nationally and internationally during these past 20 years.
