About Me/ Company

I am not a company, I am a ordinary person of 58yrs living in a bungalow at Whitworth, Rochdale. I have rescued dogs from Greece, Bulgaria and Romania, I now have six. Two are totally blind, two have only one eye, one is paralysed and my other little beauty is terrified of people, except me. They are good dogs and still learning after living on the streets for many years and being tortured by the people.

I am willing to look after a dog for a day or possibly overnight, even on short notice. The dog will be well cared for and taken for a walk if needed. I say that as one of my own dogs just hates going for a walk and much prefers the back garden.

I know how people must feel when leaving their dog with a stranger, I would be in turmoil. But please rest assured that any dog in my care will never come to any harm, will be well fed on fresh meat, will be taken out if he/she wants to, will have a cosy bed (or large enough comfortable crate if requested). Will be given love and affection and all other requirements you would expect from a animal lover.

Previous Experience

I have had animals all my life, mainly rescues. I worked for a vet (Mr Raza) at Rochdale and Middleton surgery for many years. He was a great vet and I learned many things from him. I also worked at the PDSA in Leeds when I was younger, I worked there for about 10 yrs, then the council shut it down to make way for new shops.

Qualifications & Training

No real animal qualifications as such, just common sense, old teachings, and old experiences from childhood until now. Good at giving medicine, good at doggie massage, intuitive about the first signs of illness, lots of patience, vet registered, and totally soft.

Relevant Info

For other small animals like birds, cats, fish etc. I will be willing to feed them at you're home if it is fairly close to where I live.

Other Services

Because I have six of my own, I can only offer dog sitting at my home for either one day, overnight, or possibly 2-3 days. In case of emergency I am willing to care for a dog if you need to go into hospital and there is nobody else you can trust. I will look after your dog till you come home and feel well enough to take responsibility again.
