About Me/ Company

My name is Ceri and I used to walk with my young daughter (when not at school) and our own Labrador/Springer cross. Today, I update my profile, my daughter has grown, our beautiful Charlie has passed on and we have a rescue greyhound. I am in Stondon on the Herts/Beds border and surrounded by fields and woodlands. I offer relaxing, enjoyable dog walking and encourage, where suitable, dog socialisation and lots of lovely sniffing. I will take no more than 4 dogs at a time (normally fewer)and can provide your dog with an hours walk from your home or all day company and walk/s from my own home. I will meet the requirements that you need met and will discuss your dog's needs, dislikes and likes with you. If you have holidays planned or have an emergency that requires day and overnight care this too can be provided and your dog will be treated as one of the family. I have a car (which is well used to seeing wet and muddy paws)so can offer a variety of walks to suit the day, a paddle in a local stream in the summer or a more sheltered wooded walk on a wet and grey day. I have much experience of elderly or unwell dogs and am happy to tailor walks and care to their needs and level of ability whilst still ensuring variety, love and quality of life.

Previous Experience

I have always been surrounded by family and friends' dogs and in addition to looking after my own pets have always homed friends dogs when they have gone on holiday. I have been pet sitting for a year and had a number of happy doggy visitors who return for regular holidays. I have personal experience of rescue dogs that may need patience, tlc and time to settle. Charlie was a true handful but showed that reward and praise based training sessions go a long way. Our current rescue loves other dogs but is wary of strangers , I understand different dogs have different personalities. I am able to assist in training puppies basic commands and recall. I also have plentiful experience of elderly dogs and their specific medical or walking needs and help in and out of a car etc. I am experienced in giving medication be it tablets or syringes of liquid. A tasty morsel always helps the medicine go down. I am used to being responsibility for animals including horses and am not a fairweather walker!

Qualifications & Training
