About Me/ Company

I am a pragmatic, creative, academic individual who enjoys the home environment and solitude.

A university graduate, I am self employed and work part-time as an art tutor/ workshop leader to children/ disabled and/ or otherwise vulnerable adults. I hold my groups at various UK day-care centres and secondary schools.

In my spare time I love to read, watch films, draw and walk (I am particularly passionate about walking and like to find new trails to explore as and when I can).

I want to lead a quiet and simple lifestyle the way I was raised and enjoy domestic activities such as cleaning, cooking/ baking and hand stitching.

Previous Experience

I have several years experience as a paid live-in house sitter for various family members, friends, distant acquaintances and clients.

Raised in a rural area, I am very familiar with and enjoy providing care for a myriad of different animal species.

To date I am well-versed at looking after dogs, cats, fish, rabbits, chickens, guinea pigs and small rodents (including rats), and have also provided occasional stable-hand assistance to horse keepers.

My can-do attitude means I am willing to rise to the challenge of learning how to care for species' I have not yet looked after professionally.

I am a very keen walker so am more than happy to take dogs for their daily exercise.

I usually do 2 hours walking daily, though can be flexible about duration and times to suit pet owners requests (e.g. I can do 2 separate hour long walks per day as for puppies if needed or less for elderly pets/ retired working animals etc.)

My past assignments have included home-cleaning, lawn-mowing, dog-walking, plant-care, child-minding, mail-collection, message-taking, elderly relative visitation, errand running, light preparation of meals for home-owners and other household chores.

I have a full, clean UK drivers license and have my own vehicle so local transport when homeowners live rurally/ require me to travel is never a problem (petrol price re-imbursement for in-car errands will be required).

Relevant Info

I am able to housesit anywhere within 35 miles of my home in Hungerford/ Newbury area, West Berkshire.

I am able to provide dog-walking services (when not house-sitting) within the Newbury/ Hungerford area.

I am open to short-term, long-term, and regular house-sitting and/ or dog-walking, however I prefer long term arrangements and assignments.

Owners can rest assured that their homes and animals are in the trustworthy, capable and obliging hands of an experienced, caring, quiet, clean and fairly solitary individual.

I am sure that my strong sense of responsibility and conscientiousness, respect for the privacy of others and my enthusiasm for domesticity, animal care and company will more than satisfy.

Complimentary HD photography of pets (house-sitting, sometimes dog walking). Owners keep digital files only, no prints. Rough auto editing can be applied if required.

Baking for home-owners (cakes, bread you name it) for return from holidays. Complimentary service (house-sitting), only the cost of ingredients must be covered by owners

Complimentary (house-sitting) minor hand-stitched repairs of home-owners clothes

Complimentary (house-sitting) visiting / checking-on/ being a companion to any elderly/ vulnerable dependents during home owners' holidays (i.e. visiting elderly mother/ mother-in-law etc.): applies only to dependents living within a 5 mile radius of home-owners' residence

Dog-walking services are included in any house-sitting assignments requiring this. I am also currently available for regular stand-alone dog-walking appointments.
