About Me/ Company

I am a 24 year old male currently seeking part time work in the Manchester area due to starting university in September.I have recently moved into a flat with my girlfriend,who is also a student, and wish to earn a little extra to assist in the payment of rent and associated bills. The choice of dog walking as a method for this financial help is a natural direction for me as I am and always have been, a lover of all animals,in particular our canine friends.

Previous Experience

I am afraid that I do not posses any relevant qualifications to make my profile seem more desirable but a life long exposure to household dogs has,in my opinion,put me in a rather good position to feel comfortable and indeed take enjoyment from,the company of a wide variety of dogs from all breeds and sizes.My first dog Emma was a very timid and docile golden retriever that I had the joy of living with for 13 years until she passed away due to medical issues brought on via advancing years. My second dog was a quite brief affair unfortunately due to circumstances out of my hands. She was a Alsatian/whippet cross that we got from a local rescue centre. Within a short time it was clear she had inherent behavioural issues due to an unknown past, following a violent outburst to a friend she was taken back to the home where she was soon happily rehomed to a long distance lorry driver who was able to give her the constant attention she needed.My last dog was a feisty,volatile and generally crackers English bull terrier named pixe.I have always had a soft spot for this breed since seeing ''spike' in Oliver and finally came to own one fairly recently.She was my boon companion and was an endless source of enjoyment(and a little stress may I add at times-various household objects dissapearing down her gullet) and u count myself very lucky to have spent two years with such an incredible animal. Unfortunately my girlfriend at the time's mother passed away and she took the loss very badly,as she was very find of pixie I very reluctantly gave her mother pixie in a mind to help her through the grievance.As she is retired she is able to spend a lot more time with pixie than I ever would have so the match works out splendidly.These experiences of dog ownership has cemented my admiration and love for dogs in a way that no proffesional qualification never could.
