About Me/ Company

I am a dog/animal lover and have had dogs all my life. I am an Assured Breeder with the UK Kennel Club, which means I am inspected on a regular basis and adhere to their rules. My passion is showing my Scottish Deerhounds at Championship shows and Open Shows and have produced quite a few champions over the years. You can see me and my dogs on my website www.brackenland.co.uk.

We have two Deerhounds and a beautiful little King Charles Cavalier. My whole day is taken up with looking after my animals and I believe that treating them with love and kindness brings out the best. For larger dogs we have an outside hot and cold shower with lovely fluffy towels to dry them off with, little dogs are bathed in my sink with the same fluffy towels. We have a lovely large garden which is one third of an acre. I drive a vehicle which is suitable for animals and am a non smoker. All our dogs are properly exercises according to their needs. I never take on loads of dogs or walk more than 3 or four at a time.

Previous Experience

I have looked after other peoples animals for years. Have lived on a farm and have reared pigs, chickens and one litter of British Shorthaired kittens.

I groom all my dogs to Championship standard and have professional grooming equipment clippers etc.

Qualifications & Training

I have various certificates from the Kennel Club on courses, such as dog nutrition and skin diseases, auto-immune deficiencies in dogs and breeding for healthy dogs.

I also steward at dog shows and can judge up to three classes of dogs at open shows.
