About Me/ Company

I have lived on a farm since birth and have grown up with many different animals and pets whom I adore! Farming, Horse Riding and general care of our pets provided the best childhood I could ask for! Now living in Cardiff I still have a huge passion for animals and their care, I hope to find something that will satisfy my love for all things great and small. I will have spare time to offer and I would like to spend it walking dogs for the local community.

Previous Experience

We own a Cocker Spaniel and a Black Lab, who have the perfect setting for long, exciting walks! they are very lucky! We also raised two litters of healthy pups from our Pedigree Cocker spaniel, they were all in very good condition and given to brand new happy owners! So I am familar with caring for older Dogs and younger! I have a strong care for the welfare of animals and any cruelty is unacceptable.

Work Experience.
The Knoll Cattery
One week
Every day for a week I reported to the Knoll Cattery in Goytre, near Usk.
Run by an lovely old couple, I had a great time caring for the cats and kittens.
I learned how to give them proper feeding at the correct times, how to clean and prepare the enclosures for new arrivals, and make sure they are comfortable and healthy during their stay. I really enjoyed working at the Cattery and witnessing the care and passion the owners had for the animals at the site.

Saunders Vets, Cwmbran
One Week
Here I learned how the vets function on a day to day basis, I watched as patients were seen to in the examining rooms, I watched operations taking place, and how they kept the animals stable whilst under anesthetic. The sick animals staying overnight at the vets, to the moment they were returned to their owners. It was a harsh experience since some owners would not see their pets again. Still a valuable experience however! I cleaned the operating theater, the operating equipment, the walls and floors to ensure a sterile environment. I witnessed x-rays, and the nurses explained their actions through each procedure. It was a very informative week and it was incredibly pleasing seeing an animal recovering thanks to the hard work of the veterinary nurses and staff at Saunders Vets. http://www.sandersvets.com/

I have a full UK Driving license and can come to you to pick up your dog and walk in an area of your choice! Or somewhere nearby, I am happy to have a whole day with your pet if needs be! Areas such as Roath park are great for walks.
