About Me/ Company

I am currently looking to start my own Dog walking/sitting business to both further my personal skills and to lend people my current skills which I am confident in. These include but are not limited to; Good interpersonal behaviour, the ability to work under pressure, academic training and hands-on experience in animal handling, good at both working in a team and independently, both supervised and unsupervised, and experience in working with dogs.

Previous Experience

After working for Dogs Trust, Roden, on a two week contract for work experience, I decided to pursue a full time form of working with dogs as I thoroughly enjoyed it. I have great fun in looking after my sister's french bullmastiff and use it as a personal training exercise for both me and the dog as I am interested in learning the behaviour of the species.

Sept 2011 - Now :: Doing a work-based qualification means I do a lot of hands-on work on the onsite animal care unit of the college. Duties include feeding birds, mammals, exotics and farm livestock, cleaning the accommodation, health checking, grooming and handling the animals.

Oct 2007 :: 2 weeks work experience at Dog’s Trust, Roden. Responsibilities included looking after and caring for dogs with a variety of temperaments, attending to customers’ needs, and keeping the area to a respectable degree of hygiene.
