Barks of Joy provides a fully insured, CRB checked, professional and caring dog walking and pet care service to Salisbury and surronding area.

We are pleased to offer services including; dog walking, dog day care, dog sitting, cat sitting, puppy care visits and advice.

Here at Barks of Joy we understand the important role that your pet plays in your life, which is why we promise to care and love for your dog or cat as if they were our own.

We believe that every dog or cat is unique and so offer a tailor made service to ensure that your dog or cats needs are met; whether it be daily dog walking services, weekly dog walks, cat sitting or advice. We will go the extra mile to ensure your dog or cat's happiness.

Other Services

Solo Dog Walks
We believe that dog walking is more than just a pootle around the park; it is a time for your pet to experience new smells, new places and socialise with both people and other dogs. At Barks of Joy we like to provide your dog with as much enrichment as possible and do this by varying the walking areas around Salisbury that we visit, so your dog gets to see and sniff more! And if your dog has a favourite walk, we can include this in our weekly schedule too!

Group Dog Walks
Dogs are natural pack animals and many love the company and experience of walking as a group. Our Barks of Joy Group Dog Walks give your dog the chance to socialise and play in a pack as well as get some exercise. Barks of Joy matches all dogs on personality and physical capabilities to ensure a fun walk for all. Please note Barks of Joy will NEVER walk more than 4 dogs at a time to ensure each dog gets the individual attention they deserve.


Puppy Visits
Barks of Joy know that puppies can be demanding, and you may need a little help before they are old enough to join the older dogs on group walks. Barks of Joy can offer to visit your home for up to 1 hour, where we will spend time playing with and cuddling your puppy as well as letting him / her out for toilet breaks. We can also incorporate some basic training and introduce an element of learning in to the games we play to help your pup grow up in to a well rounded pooch!

Care visits for the maturer dog / dogs with illnesses
If your pet is old, or recovering from an illness or operation and so finds it harder to go for walks; Barks of Joy can provide care visits to your home for toilet breaks and companionship. We will even adhere to any medication programme your pet may be on if needed.

Pet Sitting
Barks of Joy can provide pet sitting in your own home, to care for your dog or cat whilst you are away...whether it be 1 night or 2 weeks! We believe that it is less stressful for your dog to remain in their own home whilst you are away and to keep as much routine as possible. For dogs, the pet sitting includes 2 solo or group dog walks per day as well as care within your home. This service also includes maintaing your home, clearing post and watering plants.

Pet Feeding
Barks of Joy can pop in and feed your pets, whether it be cats or other small pets. We can provide visits once or twice per day, depending on your requirements.
