About Me/ Company

Welcome to Barkin N Larkin
From being a little girl I have always had a love and appreciation for dogs, growing up dogs have always been a big part of our family life . My boxer dog “Billy” is not just my camping buddy but my soulmate, my best friend and the most precious thing in the world to me.
For 3 years we completed basic obedience training together then moved on to the learn agility. We have competed on the agility circuit and have had a great time in shows up and down the country until Billy retired back in 2015.
During our 8 years in agility it has really strengthened our bond working as a team together and has reinforced the knowledge that a well stimulated dog both physically and mentally leads to a happy contented dog. During this time I have spent a lot of time watching lots of other breeds and just appreciating how special the bond between us and our dogs really is. I have learnt a lot about different breeds, their behaviours and how they interact with both other breeds and ourselves.
The more time I have spent with different breeds learning more about them the more overwhelming my desire became to spend more time with them and work more closely with them so much so that I have left my job of 16 years and fulfilled a lifelong passion by creating

Securely crated vehicle to high standard so that your best friend is kept safe and sound whilst being transported from A to B

All dogs must be fully vaccinated up to date including kennel cough and vaccination cards must be available to view.

As working hours in this country are becoming longer and longer and more and more anti-social I appreciate after years of working shifts myself that perhaps you may not always be able to spend as much time with your Best friend as you would like so I have a range of services that will hopefully help to keep them happy and take the pressure off you:

Home Boarding

£17.50 additional dog/dogs from the same household £10

Going away on holiday, a long weekend or just overnight then your dog can come and stay with me, have the run of the house and garden and come on all my daily walks with me. I will conduct a meet and greet session with you prior to your stay and will tailor your dog’s stay with me to be as close to their routine at home as possible. You can either drop off and collect when you get home or I can offer a collection and drop off service free of charge within a 5 mile radius of my home.
Anything over 5 miles can still be accommodated for collection and drop off but would be charged at an additional 50p per mile based on google maps.

Doggy Day Care

£15.00 full day 10 hrs 0800hrs-1800hrs additional dog from same household £7.50
£10 half day any 5 hour timeslot between 0800-1800hrs additional dog from the same household £5.00

Are you going to be out all day? If so why not leave your dog with me. They will come on all my daily walks with me and when we are home have the run of the house and garden so lots of time for playtime and cuddles. You can either drop them off to me and collect when you get home or I can offer a collection and drop off service free of charge within a 5 mile radius of my home.

Group walks £10 per session additional dog from the same household £4

If your dog is happy, confident and enjoys the company of other dogs then a group walk may be what they would enjoy. I will collect your dog at a time that is best for you and drop them off tired and happy. I will walk no more than 4 dogs at any one time on group walks and walks will be a minimum of 1 hr walking time although knowing how much I enjoy being outdoors may be up to an hour and half.!!!!

Individual walks £10 per half hour additional dog from the household £4

If your dog prefers its own company that’s fine, let me walk your dog on a one on one basis. If your dog is in training, I will discuss your needs and I will continue to keep up that training regime whilst they are out on their walk with me. Again I will collect your dog at a time that’s best for you and drop them off happy, tired and ready for a snooze.

Puppy Visits Half hour £8

I understand completely how difficult it can be to juggle work with a young puppy so let me take the strain. I will visit your little bundle of fun, let them in the garden for a toilet stop, clean up and refresh any areas where they may have a had a little accident, feed them and have a little snuggle and cuddle before I leave.
I will even leave you a little note so that you Know I have been.

Dog Visits Half hour £8

Do you love walking your dog yourself but just need someone to let them out for a toilet stop, have a bit of rough and tumble or game of tug and feed them then I can do that for you. Just tell me what time you want me to visit and I will be there for them. I will even leave you a little note so that you know I have been.
