About Me/ Company

Hi, I’m Ashley the manager of Walk this Way. When I started my company in 2009, my aim was to become the best care service in Ayrshire for dogs. Now I have done that, so I am expanding to care for all your pets and their specialist needs. I love animals, I am professional, honest and well educated in animal care. I will love your pets as much as you do!

Previous Experience

Walk This Way is an independently run dog walking and pet services business operating in Ayrshire. Our aim is to be there for your pets when you can't be.

Our main focus, is dogs. We love dogs! Big ones, small ones, we do not discriminate! There are many owners I have came across who have been apprehensive about calling in help with their pets due to size, breed and temperament. Here, at Walk This Way, we pride ourselves on taking on dogs that perhaps other companies might not.

Our objective, is to build a bond with your dog, through play and interaction so that when you are absent, your dog feels comfortable going out their walks, or coming to stay.

We deal with dogs purely in a positive manner. So from our initial meeting & assessment of your pet, right through to walks, day care or boarding, we try and keep everything as positive as possible.

Also, in our travels we have cared for cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, fish, an African grey parrot and white cheeked touracos so please don't hesitate to give us a call, we are happy to cater for any animal.

Qualifications & Training

Dog Walker, Canine Care & Training Adviser
Ashley is the Owner here at Walk This Way, she is everyone's first point of contact and has run the business since 2009.

Ashley's first doggy love is the Rottweiler. After having the honour of owning Roxy Bear, she now owns a Young Rottie bitch called Echo and is currently working with her just now to bring out her confidence.

She also owns a four year old Jack Russel Terrier called Jack, also known as Mr Nibbs to his faithful fans. You will see plenty of
Mr Nibbs on the photo gallery in his famous 'bench of the day' photos! Ashley enjoys fun agility with Jack.

Also being lucky enough to co-own an ex working German Shepherd called Flint who was retired early by the police, Ashley hopes to compete with Flint in the demanding dog sport of Working Trials in the near future.

Ashley has a keen interest in dogs of all shapes and sizes, everything from their care, behaviour and development and is working toward her Kennel Club Accreditation Scheme for Instructors in Dog Training and Canine Behaviour.
