About Me/ Company
My husband and I have spent the last 13yrs in New Zealand. I am retired (52) and my husband is semi-retired (67). We have 3 grown daughters and we're returning to the UK to spend some time with our new grandson.
Most recently I have been looking after and walking dogs that have belonged to friend's and acquaintances.
This move back to the UK has made us think long and hard about what we would like to do with our new found freedom and we have decided that we would like to house/pet sit. We do have our own little poodle x who is great with other dogs and he would come with us.
Previous Experience
Apart from looking after various dogs and walking them we have a lot of experience with all sorts of animals. We became a cat rescue home for a while, mainly looking after siamese cats that had something traumatic happen or had come to the end of a stud life. Our fish pond at home is a breeding ground, I have no idea why. We spend each yr advertising loads of fish for sale on various websites. We have had a pet pig, who was gorgeous but would escape frequently and devour the picnics of the poor people sitting on the beach at the front of our house! When the children were small, we had all of the cuddly little mammals and as seems to be usual, we ended up feeding and caring for them. We have also had free range chickens and in NZ there are no predators so they spent most nights roosting in the small trees around. We are perfectly aware of the risk of foxes and would lock up all poultry at night.
Qualifications & Training
Don't have any formal qualifications to do with animals. We seem to find that loving them works really well. Any signs of illness and we would follow the instructions given to us by the owners.

We are only interested in sitting at the moment. We don't have a fixed address in the UK, we will be spending time with various family members.
