About Me/ Company

My name is Amy and I started Ani-Mates, my own Pet Care business, four years ago. I have always wanted to work with animals, but with limited jobs available I created my own! Since then I have seen my customer base grow and grow and have become great friends with many of my oldest and most loyal customers.
I treat their pets as if they were my own, and there isn't a dog who doesn't greet me with a wagging tail and lots of licks. I have glowing references from the owners, and I'm sure dogs and cats alike would say the same.
I have always loved animals, ever since I knew what they were. From my first pet rabbit as a little girl of four years old, to my ever growing menagerie today, from the traditional dog to the slithering snake.
I am fun loving and out going, as well as being honest and trustworthy, with lots of love and cuddles to give.
Ani-Mates is my own business, and I do not employ others. I like to keep it small and personal so that you and your pets can get to know and trust me. I do all sorts from walks, cat feeding visits, puppy play visits, dog sitting over night at your house, horse feeding and mucking out and keeping small animals at my own flat for as long as you need.

Previous Experience

As I say, I have always loved animals and have plenty of experience with my own odd collection that I have had over my lifetime! From dogs and cats, to snakes and lizards. Rabbits and guinea pigs, to ferrets and horses. No animal is too small, big or strange.
I am always learning, doing extra reading and research and getting to know different species.
I also used to volunteer at Noah's Ark Zoo Farm as a young teenager, which involved larger animals such as horses, cows, goats and even buffalo! Birds of prey, reptiles and some more exotic mammals, tiny and large. I would like to think I have at least a basic knowledge of most animals, all of my friends and customers know they can ask me anything and very rarely do I not have an answer.
Recently I have worked for two years as a dog and cat groomer, which means I also have a basic - intermediate knowledge on grooming and the maintenance of breeds with coats that need more attention than others. eg: Poodles, Shih Tzu's, Bichon's and long haired cats.
