About Me/ Company

Hello my name is Amy, i am 21 years old and i love animals. I have been around many different species from a young age, of which i was brought up with. I have owned pets all my life and theres never a day i don't have one.I currently have 2 fish tanks, macleay stick insects, a male budgie, a pet rabbit and a rescued wild rabbit. I have had 'thumper' my wild rabbit from a baby, which he is still happily living with me to this day. He is 10 years old this year and i love him to bits.

Previous Experience

I went to Plumpton college for 3 years studying Animal Care and Management, of which i really enjoyed. I have learnt a lot more on animals needs, behaviour and anatomy etc. I worked with fish/amphibians, reptiles, birds/ birds of prey, small mammals, domestic animals and some farm animals. During my courses at plumpton college i had to do work experience for 2 years, which i chose to do at down wood veterinary centre. I really enjoyed learning in a veterinary centre, as it kept me hands on with the animals when i wasn't at college. My jobs where to feed/ water the in-patients, clean up after ops, clean out kennels/catteries, learn how to pack surgical equipment into sterilisation bags ready to be sterilised after being cleaned, cleaning floors/ the theatre room and checking stock. Also i helped out at knockhatch adventure park from the age of 8-13 years, which included me also working with the animals. All this experience has helped me keep my passion for animals, which in the future will have a great career with them.

I don't just look after dogs, but many other animal to. I can groom your pets, carry out claw clipping and bathing if required to. please bare in mind i am not a qualified groomer, but have had experience from college and personal experience from home.
