About Me/ Company

I am a huge animal lover, and have been offering pet sitting and walking services for the last 5 years. My company is called If Paws Could Talk Professional Pet Care Services, and it is based in Woking but travel a 15 mile radius. My site is www.ifpawscouldtalk.co.uk

I am a fully insured pet sitter who offers a free 'meet and greet' session before any work commences so this works well for both parties to be introduced and to see if we are all happy to work together, and to see how the animals connect with me.

I have lots of experience with animals having had my own and growing up with many - from hamsters, cats to large dogs. I have learnt so much especially since having my 2 female dogs and a cat in the last 6 years, going through the ups and downs with illnesses and behavioural problems. All of which made me a better, and more confident pet owner. I also believe your attitude is contagious to your animals, so this is why I remain calm but assertive with other peoples animals too. So they respect me but also trust that everything is OK whilst they are in my care. Because I have confidence they will then have confidence and be happier. I also apply positive reinforcement training where they get a treat if needed and a big ‘well done’ in a positive tone when they have done well. And never ever shouting or hitting.

I am very reliable and affordable. I do not charge for having more than one animal - simply a flat rate by the hour. I give a discount if you take a long booking or want my pet sitting/walking services on a regular basis.

I am available for pet sitting over night, and during holidays. I try and be very flexible to peoples and their animals needs. And am not squeamish so do not mind getting stuck in with cleaning, be it animal accidents - to a spot of house cleaning!

Previous Experience

Pet Sitting Experience -
I have been pet sitting for the last 5 years, in South Africa mostly. Then in the UK since I moved back home a year ago. I can also provide references for all of the families should you require them.

My own dogs are called Ella and Phoebe and are 2 beautiful mixed breed medium sized female dogs, and a black tabby cat called Sooti. All of which get on well, and the dogs get walked 1-2 times daily. As exercising a dog is vital in keeping them calm, and is the equivalent to taking a person to a spa for the day!

I also volunteered for animal charities in South Africa when I lived there, and my step-mother-in-law runs her own animal rescue charity so have been up until the move, very actively involved with this. This would be rescuing and catching street animals needing medical attention, to serving as a temporary home for street animals.

Qualifications & Training

I am a qualified Natural Nutritionist, and I am looking into studying natural pet care in the not so far future!
