About Me/ Company

My name is Amy Claire Whatley, I am 19 years old, I have recently left college after spending 2 years doing a National Diploma in Animal Management and 1 year doing an Animal Nursing Assistance course. I am now fully qualified and looking for work with animals.

I have had a range of animals over the years, ever since I have been small I can remember always having a soft spot for animals, and have wanted to be a veterinary nurse since I can remember, I dont know how I would cope without my animals!

I have 3 dogs, 2 cats, and a horse at the moment and this is the smallest 'collection' of animals Ive ever had! I used to also have rabbits, guinea pigs, fish and mice when I was smaller, in addition to my dogs, cats and horses! so needless to say, I am happy handling all sorts and breeds and species of animals, I am very competant and confident handling, feeding, checking all animals!

Previous Experience

I have worked as a private kennel manager (working and sleeping at the boss's house) so I have alot of experience working with all types of breeds, personalities and behaviours conerning dogs (including difficult or aggressive behaviours) so if required I am more than happy to put you in contact with previous employers for references.

As well as looking after or walking your dog I also have lots of experience looking after cats, reptiles, birds, livestock and have my own horses.

I have also done 9 months work experience in a veterinary practice, as part of my animal nursing course, so I have training in animals physical and anatomical well being, animal first aid ect, and I would know what to do in a medical emergency (which would hopefully not arise). I am also qualified to administer medications, in the form of tablets, cream, ointments, or sub-cutaneous injections, should your pet need insulin injections ect.

Diploma in Animal Nursing Assistance- Gianed in 2012 at Pershore college.
