About Me/ Company
I'm a 20 year old female, living at home with my parents. My almost-13 year old dog passed away on June 20th 2012 and I miss her dearly. I love in Abingdon, in Oxfordshire
I do have experience with dogs, but admittedly, I have got better since mine passed, being less frightened of larger dogs specifically.
My dog was a small Jack russel, Cocker Spaniel mix, just to give you an idea of what size I'm used to, but my Uncle does own a Dalmation and my Godmother has a golden retriever. My Grandparents used to have a dacshund, and that particular breed is a favourite of mine.
Previous Experience
13 Years past experience with my own puppy dog, and a lot of interacting with other people's dogs.
I have never walked someone else'd dog before, but I have walked my own
Qualifications & Training
I have no proper qualifications for Dog walking, but I am qualified in other areas, having 9 GCSEs, 3 A-Levels, a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design and a City and Guilds in Art and Design, along with a few other certificates for things like Health and Safety, Emergency first aid and food hygene.
I like to think that 13 years with my own dog means I have the basics of dog care down.
Relevant Info
I'm not sure about the dog sitting in my home as I live with my parents, but my boyfriend is looking to move closer to me within the next few months, so Dog Sitting will probably be more likely to happen there.
I do Suffer from Anxiety, so Dog sitting in another person's home may be difficult for me. If, however, it's a weekend sit, and my boyfriend is allowed and able to accompany me, I'm more than willing to do this.
In regards to my anxiety, I have found that a dog does calm it slightly when in certain situations.
I also currently volounteer at the British Heart Foundation shop in my town
