About Me/ Company

My name is Adrian Kiszka and I am 24 years of age currently living in Linton Cambridgeshire. I am a Warwick University graduate with a degree in Psychology and plan to return to study a Masters in Animal Psychology in the near future.

I currently have my own transport with a full Clean UK Drivers License and would be happy to travel a fair distance within Essex/Cambridgeshire/neighbouring Counties.

I am an avid animal lover and have been one since a very young age. Since I always had some form of pet as a child I have learned their value and never to mistreat an animal as well as to develop patience with them. I feel very comfortable around a range of different animals, from small to large and from dogs and cats to rodents and birds.

In the future I plan to either return to University to study Animal Psychology or move to South Africa to study to become a Nature Reserve Ranger. I really want a career with animals and see any work I do with as more fun than as employment.

I am a very compassionate person and really take good care of all animals I am around. I would never purposefully hit an animal if it misbehaved because I see it as totally unnecessary and detrimental to the relationship you are developing with them. I work with great attention to detail and will take in all information given around your animal.

Previous Experience

From a young age I always had some form of pet, from cats and dogs to hamsters. I took on most of the responsibilities in feeding, walking and clearing up after them from the age of 12. I never treated it as a chore and always enjoyed looking after them massively.

I recently travelled to Spain to dog sit for a friend over a 2 week period. This involved me living and looking after their home (i.e. keeping their home clean etc) as well as taking care of their 5 dogs and 6 cats by myself. At first it was a lot to manage but once I got used to their routine it was the best 2 week period of my life and some of the most fun I've had. I was required to feed the cats twice a day at specific times as well as feed and walk the dogs in the morning and afternoon. Walking the dogs involved getting them all into a car and driving them to specific locations nearby to the house. I also had to make sure some dogs took specific medicine and were given the correct measurements and combinations of food and ensure they stayed warm in the evenings. Although it was a lot to manage I saw it as a full time job and enjoyed every second of it.

I have also been volunteering at a Wildlife Park in Cambridgeshire (Shepreth) for the last 6 months. This involves me working with a number of different animals from birds and bats, to wallabies and deer, and capybara and tigers. This has taught me to work with great attention to detail when preparing food for all the different types of animals as well as ensuring the vast range of living quarters are maintained as they should be. I enjoy this work massively and plan to take my responsibilities further and take on more time at the park when I can.

Qualifications & Training

I have recently began studying for a Level 2 diploma in Animal Care from the College of Animal Welfare in Huntingdon and I plan to continue studying for higher levels once completed.
