About Me/ Company
I started Adventurous Tails to fulfil a lifelong dream of working with animals whilst providing a top quality service for pet owners. As an animal lover and owner of many different pets throughout my life, I understand how important your pet is. I provide a simple service where owners can relax knowing their pets are in safe hands. I endeavour to give your pet and you a reliable, flexible, fun and easy service.
My passion for animals of course started as a child with my first rescue dog and has long since continued. As well as dogs and cats I also have experience working with mice, gerbils, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds and many more. I love to help animal charities where I can whether it’s a sponsored walk, fostering retired Greyhounds or an overseas trip. In 2014 I volunteered in the historical city of Cuzco, South America, helping to rescue, rehabilitate and care for street dogs that had endured malnutrition, neglect and in some cases abuse. It was a tough but truly amazing experience, developing my knowledge and experience of handling all kinds of dogs in various situations.
When I look after your pets, whether it’s a walk, a holiday or sitting, I make sure I think of all those small things that help to give you peace of mind. I treat your pets as I’d want mine to be treated, allowing you to relax knowing your animals are enjoying the break as much as you are. I also offer free of charge regular pet updates while you're away, you may like an email, a photo, a video or even a call.
I am fully insured as a business through Petplan Sanctuary to make sure your pet, you and I are all safe. I have also completed an Animal First Aid Course. Before you agree to come on board with Adventurous Tails I will carry out a one to one introduction. Here we get a chance to discuss all your pet’s needs, cover any questions you might have and of course I get to meet your pet(s) for a bit of fuss.
Previous Experience
Lots of dog walking and pet sitting during the daytime and overnights in my own home and in owners homes. I have also carried out charity work in Peru at a Dog Rescue and Rehabilitation Center.
