About Me/ Company

I provide caring, friendly and reliable pet care [home visits], dog walking, transport]. Based from Newcastle u Lyme, Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire (Inc. Cheshire and Shropshire areas).

My name is Kate and I have always wanted to own an animal care business. I am a dedicated animal lover, having owned a variety of pets since my early childhood. I am based in Newcastle under Lyme and provide a reliable, caring and local service to the many animal lovers in the area.

My services are ideal if you are going away on holiday, out of the home for long days or just unable to provide the level of care required. Your pet(s) require stimulation and interaction and do not like being left for long periods of time. It is important to meet their psychological and physical needs.

That is where 4Paws petminding can help! You can be assured that your pet(s) will be given plenty of love, care and attention whilst with me for home visits, dog walking or if being transported to the vets/groomers.

Pets need their routines including meals, play/walks and care, especially when they are left unattended for a period of time. Cats are territorial and very attached to their home. They are naturally frightened of unfamiliar places and smells and therefore caring for your cat(s) at home is now increasingly popular.

Dogs require stimulation and care when left alone. If leaving your dog(s) for a full day, it is advised they are walked at least once to break up the time they are alone. If your dog(s) are happy and experienced being walked with others, they may benefit from a small group walk, enabling them to interact and play with other dogs.

Previous Experience

I have cared for and owned rescue cats, rabbits and smaller animals for over 25 years and have more recent experience in dog care. I have worked for the RSPCA as a volunteer and in my spare time work for animal charities, helping with fundraising and increasing animal welfare awareness. I currently own two rescue long haired cats called Rozie (banner picture) and Bela.

Qualifications & Training

I have a keen interest in dog and cat behaviour and am hoping to study this further once this business is fully operational. I am passionate and dedicated to providing the best care and attention to your loved pet(s) when you are away for holidays/work or just unable to provide the level of care required.

I possess full insurance for the business, including the transportation of pets in my vehicle and any incident which may occur whilst your loved pet is in my care.

Relevant Info

I launched in early June and have been very busy since then! I have happy customers and pets and already have repeat bookings.

Other Services

My pet transport service provides ‘collection’ and ‘drop off’ to either your regular vet or groomer.

If you require me to wait with your pet e.g. vet appointment, charges will be based on an hourly basis.

Your pet(s) will be transported within a fully insured and secure vehicle.

Depending upon your location, mileage may be charged. Please contact me to discuss your requirements.
