About Me/ Company

Hello, I am Amy Hunkin at 4 Paws Pet Care based in St.Austell Cornwall. I have loved all animals for as long as I can remember and have worked on a dairy farm, boarding kennels and cattery and I currently work part time at another local boarding kennels and cattery after returing to Cornwall from completing university with a BSc (Hons) degree in Animal Science, Behaviour, and Welfare. I currently own a miniature long haired dachshund (the family pet of 14 years!) and three pet fancy rats which I have trained to come when called, spin on command and use a litter tray through positive reinforcement.

Previous Experience

As mentioned before, I have worked for two different boarding kennels where I have handled a wide variety of dog breeds and temperaments ranging from great danes, rottweilers and dobermans to chihuahuas, whippets and terriers. I have also had experience with blind and deaf dogs.

Qualifications & Training

I have just completed university with a BSc (Hons) degree in Animal Science, Behaviour, and Welfare. This means I am completely up-to-date on modern understandings of how and more importantly why all animals behave the way they do and how they should be treated.
