About Me/ Company

Hi there,

I have recently completed a BSc (Hons) degree in Animal Health and Welfare Management at Harper Adams University College in Shropshire and currently looking to find work in the animal care sector. However, am currently available for dog walking and dog sitting /house sitting duties in the local area.

Having grown up on a family farm (near Barnard Castle, Co. Durham), I have gained extensive experience of looking after various animals - including the numerous sheepdogs we've had over the years.

I would describe myself as being a friendly, honest and trustworthy person, and can be relied upon to undertake any task given to me to the best of my ability.

Previous Experience

I have recently been responsible for dog and house-sitting, aswell as dog walking and practicing abit of dog training (using 'clicker training) on a young German Shepherd - which went very well. :-)

In previous years, I have been responsible for looking after my friends small holding, whilst she was holiday for two weeks, aswell as attending to various animal husbandry duties, and looking after her two cats and four dogs.

I have also taken our sheep dogs for walks along the river, and in the fields, many many times over the years.

Qualifications & Training

No professional qualifications in dog walking at present - but have had plenty of practical experience...

National Diploma in Agriculture (N.D.A.) - gained a Triple grade: Distinction, Distinction, Distinction.

Recently completed a BSc (hons) degree in Animal Health and Welfare Management - including animal behaviour. (I will receive my results in early September - expected grade 2.2)

Other Services

My rates for dog sitting are dependant on the following criteria:-

*How many dogs to look after + walks per day.

*If other jobs are also requested by the owner whilst they are away (i.e. gardening /cleaning duties).

*Travelling distance /cost to get to the pet sitting location if more than a 10 mile radius from Newport.
