About Me/ Company

My name is Eunice and I live in Bolton, Lancs. I've shared my home with quite an assortment of pets over the last 40 years, including cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters. My current two dogs are both Jack Russells, one now aged 13 and the other one aged 4, and they are both very friendly and get on well with other dogs. I live in a semi-rural location and most days I take them out in the nearby fields and for long walks round the countryside - on a sunny day I often go out and almost forget to come back! Being a lover of the outdoors I like to go camping when the weather is good and I always take the dogs with me - it's their 'holiday' as much as mine and a camping weekend just wouldn't be the same without them!

I first got into pet sitting after I had to get a pet sitter to look after my own dogs when I went on holiday abroad one year, and I realised that this was something I would really enjoy doing. My first client was passed on to me by my vet and the rest, as they say, is history.

When looking after someone else's pets I always stick closely to each individual dog's normal daily routine regarding feeding and walks etc and I'm quite happy to administer any medication should it be necessary. Also I never take more than one dog into my home at once (unless of course they are from the same family) as this guarantees that each one gets the time and attention it deserves.

Previous Experience

I have been pet sitting for almost 10 years and have cared for a variety of dogs over that time, either in my own home or in the client's home, sometimes on a 'live-in' basis, and over the years I have gained several regular clients. I also work as a volunteer helper for Doglost, which helps to reunite lost pets with their owners, and as an occasional volunteer dog transporter for an animal charity which finds rescue places for dogs in need.

Qualifications & Training

No 'official' qualifications, just a great love of all animals and 40 years experience of caring for my own and other peoples' pets.

Other Services

If pet sitting at a client's home I'm always happy to water plants, feed fish, pick up post, open/close curtains, turn lights on/off etc and anything else which would be a normal part of day-to-day living.

I also provide a 'pets to vets' service for anyone local who is unable to accompany their pet to a vet's appointment.
