Previous Experience

i have owned dogs and various other pets for the majority of my life. growing up my mum and dad taught me and my other siblings the importance of looking after your animals and gave us alot of reponsibility when it came down to grooming feeding cleaning and exercising. i am a trained and qualified nanny which shows i am a caring, considerate, loving, and firm when needed to be. in both childcare and dog walking/training the same rules apply they both need there rules boundries and limitations and alot of praise and reward when they litsen and respond and corrections when they do something naughty or wrong and NEVER with force it is never acceptable to hit ur dog.

Qualifications & Training

i have attended the alpha dog training school and am in the process of becoming a member of the institute of mordern dog trainers (imdt) and attend courses regularly to expand my knowledge and understanding of how dogs think and comunicate and to keep up to date on the best training metods etc

Relevant Info

my name is leanne, im 23 and i live in hanworth middlesex i started up my own business walking and training dogs and house sitting etc as me and my partner decided we were ready to have a puppy come into our home we got her at 9 months old her previous owner was selling her because she was chewing her walls and she was in rented accomidation and was told she had to re home roxy. my hours as a nanny were not flexible enough to be able to go home and let her out for her to relieve herself etc and we discovered she actually had alot of issues she is what you call a hypersensitive dog which means she is easily frightened or especially threatened by strangers or other dogs, This usually results from improper socialization as a puppy. If she didn't get to experience new things or people in a positive way, then as she grows up she may develop an extreme fear of the unknown. Anything different or out of the routine can throw her into confusion, agitation, or nervousness. so basically i had to completely retrain her! she was scared of almost every noise and lots of inanimate objects such as a plastic bag blowing in the wind, a rolled up rug, slamming doors or windows, she was only ever scared of people if they raised there voice or was carrying a bin liner everyone else she loved! dogs she was very friendly with most but the more boisterous dogs she avoided (also known as flighting) or very rarely she felt she had no choice but to protect herself luckily she is very clever and receptive to commands while meeting other dogs so confrontation rarely ever occurs and more often than not the confrontation would be with a rather rude dog who has not been shown a polite way to greet other dogs. reading body language in a hypersensitive dog is key in situations such as meeting new dogs or new environments. and her wall chewing was down to not enough exercise, she wasnt prepared well enough to be left on her own so she experienced extreme seperation anxiety and she wasnt mentally stimulated i hope reading this will help you in making your choice and also help you realise that your dog may need training. all dog need physical AND mental stimulation to be a happy and content dog i really look forward to hearing from you and working together to do whats best for your treasured four legged friend

Other Services

i also offer dog training whether it be leash training, potty training, create training, obedience (sit, stay, down, come etc), behavioural issues such as excessive barking, fear, aggression, anxiety, chewing etc
