About Me/ Company

Hi my name is Nicky. I have previously worked in the customer services and manufacturing industries but would now like to change my career path to a more animal based environment like where I grew up.
Over the past year I have built up a regular clientele looking after their pets in my home while they are away. I am a calm, kind person and have a natural rapport with the pets in my care. I take time to get to know the pets and for them to meet me prior to looking after them.
I like being outdoors and pets in my care get lots of lovely walks in surrounding countryside as well as indoor exercise. I love animals and look after them as I would exspect someone to treat my own pets.

Dogs are walked on a lead unless consent given by their owner and the dogs recall is satifactory. It is good for dogs to socialise and therefore your dog can be walked with a group if it is not agressive towards other dogs if you wish. This would be no more that 3 dogs at a time.

Previous Experience

I have worked with Irish Wolfhound and Beagles in private show kennels when I was younger. My duties included feeding,cleaning,grooming,transporting, checking health and exercising the show dogs.

My own dogs I trained in agility and obedience class up to intermediate level and competed in obedience trials.

I grew up on a small holding with dogs and cats,rabbits. We had chickens, geese 2 goats and a rescued donkey plus I helped out on a neighbouring farm with their horses and sheep so I have had plenty of experience around animal husbandry.

Qualifications & Training

I have forty years experience looking after animals and within the training environment and I am currently looking to take animal first aid course.

I can also provide a pop in service to pick up post, clean house, feed cats ,clean out runs. I am happy to stay at owners house if requested.
