About Me/ Company

Having had parents who were active Yorkshire Terrier breeders, I have unceasingly been around dogs. At present occupying the family home is 4 dogs (aged between 9-16) 3 cats (aged between 1-15) and at least 6 generations of goldfish/koi.
Every year when we vacationed we placed our dogs in a very homely kennels, until when Toby (14) was 3 we realised he developed a trend about a week before we were to go away. Unfortunately he always developed an ear infection that was easily treated, and then he would subsequently get a rash all over his body, and would also become depressed. We couldn’t put him into kennels or even into someone else’s home. He got stressed anytime he thought he was leaving his home to stay elsewhere. After we established his problem there was always someone to look after him (and the rest of the pack!) from home, usually me. I understand the importance of keeping an animal happy and comfortable in their surroundings and I can be entrusted to care for your dog at your home.
I am not only very fond of the small four legged variety but also the large. I currently work part-time in full livery stables where I care for other peoples horses on a daily basis. I keep my own horses there, as I like to have them in my care. I know how hard it is to find people you can trust to look after your animals. I treat every animal in my care, like i treat my own.

Previous Experience

Apart from caring for my own pack. I have experience working a couple of summers with Muriel Egan who was the proprietor of her own Kennels and Cattery. I began helping her at her establishment because of my love for animals and also my family entrusted her for years caring for our dogs and cats when we were away. Every animal she took in was treated like her own and I have always treated any animal in my care with 5 star treatment.

Professional qualification in the equine industry:
• Degree in Equine Management
• NVQ level 3 in Horse care

I am quite happy and capable of caring for a variety pets. I am also a very experienced horsewoman.
