About Me/ Company
My name is Carol Anderson. I live in Bury, Lancashire with my fiancé Peter and my 3 dogs, Sydney a 3 year old Dobermann, Suki an 18 month old Dobermann and Safi my 9 year old Lurcher. These guys are my “Pawed†children and we share a wonderful life together. I show my Dobermanns at Championship levels and Safi, my lurcher as well as being a “Pets as Therapy†Dog has also treaded the boards with Ashton Operatic Society in “Annie†playing the part of “Sandy†her faithful dog.
My passion for animals, especially dogs started when I was very young and in 1991 aged 20 I joined the Army where I served all over the world handling and training firstly protection dogs and then Arms Explosive Search dogs. This was a fabulous job and gave me a real insight into dog training and behaviour.
I left the Army in 2003 and joined mypetstop, this was a Pet Resort with everything under one roof, boarding, hydrotherapy, dog training, doggy day camp and grooming. I started in the boarding/kennels side then progressed to be head dog trainer and in 2007 I took over as Manager of the centre where I remained until I was made redundant in November 2012.
For many years I have wanted to start my own business and follow my dream, that’s why I decided to take the plunge and start up “Bark-n-Rideâ€. I understand how difficult it can be to trust someone with your beloved pets. I am an animal lover through and through and you can be confident that your dog will be safe and have lots of fun whilst you are away at work or out for the day.
I have studied Canine behaviour on various courses and have a qualification in the following:
Canine Behaviour, Canine Aggression and training/instructional techniques
All the above courses were under the instruction of the world renowned behaviourist John Rogerson
I offer Dog Walking (Individual or Group), 121 training and behaviour, Puppy Visits, Pet Taxi and Pet First Aid presentations
