About Me/ Company

I live in Palmers Green, N13. I'm 54, responsible and love walking and taking care of dogs, lavishing lots of love and attention on them and letting them do things they're not always allowed at home - i.e. sleeping on my bed! I take their safety very seriously and have never had a dog hurt or run away since I started walking and dog boarding over 15 years ago. Usually they go home fitter, perfectly groomed and shiny since I believe in brushing every day - it's a great way of bonding with a dog and making sure there's nothing wrong.

Previous Experience

I have been dog boarding for over 5 years. I started off for an agency but now just take care of dogs I've met locally, or through recommendations etc. I thoroughly enjoy meeting all the different dogs and their lovely owners and feel good to know I'm offering a quality service that puts owners' minds at rest while they're away! The secret to settling a dog is to walk them straight away, the pack instinct kicks in and they're usually relaxed within 20 minutes and feeling quite at home. Training for treats is another favourite!

Qualifications & Training

Owned two dogs of my own, a chihuahua rescue and scottie rescue. I have a secure garden and dog gate inside. I like to meet owners and dogs a few weeks before the dog/s are left so everyone is happy and the dog isn't going somewhere strange. I've experience with nervous dogs and live a quiet life here, sharing with a friend who also loves and is experienced with looking after dogs. We tend to share duties and help each other out and almost never leave a dog except for short shopping trips.

Relevant Info

I also do hands-on energy healing (quantum touch), useful for occasional minor injuries and dogs usually love receiving it! They also usually love being in the room while I'm treating someone else, and have been known to join in with the laying on of paws.
