About Me/ Company

Hi there,

I am a mature student (a 'young' 42 year old!) at Harper Adams University College in Shropshire, currently studying my final year of a BSc (Hons) degree in Animal Health, Welfare and Behaviour Management.

Having grown up on a family farm (near Barnard Castle, Co. Durham), I have gained extensive experience of looking after various animals - including the numerous sheepdogs we've had over the years.

I would describe myself as being a friendly, honest and trustworthy person, and can be relied upon to undertake any task given to me to the best of my ability.

Previous Experience

I have recently been responsible for dog and house-sitting, aswell as dog walking and practicing abit of dog training (using 'clicker training) on a young German Shepherd - which went very well. :-)

In previous years, I have been responsible for looking after my friends small holding, whilst she was holiday for two weeks, aswell as attending to various animal husbandry duties, and looking after her two cats and four dogs.

I have also taken our sheep dogs for walks along the river, and in the fields, many many times over the years.

Qualifications & Training

no professional qualifications in dog walking at present.

National Diploma in Agriculture

Nearing completion of a BSc (hons) degree in Animal Health and Welfare Management - including animal behaviour

N.B. For my dissertation this year, I am going to be studying the correction of canine behavioural problems by introducing positive reinforcement techniques, specifically 'clicker training'.
