About Me/ Company

My name is Tahnee and I'm a 23 year old female. I moved to Edinburgh from New Zealand last year and love it here.
We decided to move to Edinburgh as we had heard so many nice things about the city and the friendly, easy-going people. We have since found out this is all true and can draw comparisons to New Zealand - so it feels like home here!
I have a five year ancestry visa and I'm looking forward to working with you and meeting new faces.

Previous Experience

In New Zealand, my parents worked on a dairy farm in the South Island. I grew up around all sorts of animals as we always had pet sheep, horses, dogs, cats and chickens! I loved being around the animals and developed animal handling skills from a young age.
I have never officially been a Dog Walker, as in Greymouth, where I lived, there wasn't market for this. I would occasionally walk friends and relatives dogs, and also house sit.
I had an awesome Fox Terrier called Tui and use to walk her before and after work. It was great exercise for her and me!

Qualifications & Training

My love for animal care lead me to complete a New Zealand certificate in Animal Care in 2007, and then go on to complete a NZ certificate in Veterinary Nursing in 2008.
These two courses helped me gain indepth knowledge into animal care, husbandry, nutrition, biology, and my favourite subject being behavioural studies.
I work fulltime as a Vet Nurse in Edinburgh and I think I have the best job in the world! I treat every animal as it were my own and love to see happy pets.

Other Services

I offer dog walking and house sitting. Unfortunately, my house I'm renting doesn't allow animals, but I'm happy to house sit at yours.
I'm confident with handling many different animals, so if you have a colourful bunch I'd be more than happy to meet them!

As I work fulltime I may not be able to offer long term house sits but will try my best to meet your requirements.
