About Me/ Company
My name is Sara i am 25 years old and work part time at Chetwynd Firs boarding kennels and cattery on the A41 near Newport and also work part time in the railway tavern public house in newport, shropshire,
I have a BSc hons degree in animal behaviour and welfare which i achieved at Harper Adams university college. I also have other animal qualifications including an NVQ in animal care, a national diploma in animal management and also a basic dog grooming certificate so can also offer to bath your dog after their walk for an extra charge. Cost will vary from £10 depending on size of dog and temperament.
I am fairly flexible and work mainly in evenings so have a lot of free time in the day which i would love to fill with dog walking. I love the outdoors and enjoy getting out and about, i am friendly and approachable and trustworthy and most importantly of all i love dogs! i am unfortunately renting a property so cannot commit to getting a pooch of my own so thoroughly enjoy the chance the to walk other peoples dogs.
I can Provide long or short walks as many times a day as you wish and will do my best to stick to your dogs routine as close as possible to prevent causing any stress or upset to your dog.
I have my own transport so can cover many areas within shropshire, and parts of staffordshire and cheshire. i am willing to travel up to an hour from my base in Newport however certain distances will incur a petrol charge.
Previous Experience
i have kennels experience and have worked with with many dog breeds and temperments.
i have been trained to give medication from tablets to insulin injections
i have a basic qualifiication in dog bathing and grooming
i have also have had other animal experience in pet shops, with the RSPCA and cats protection.
The dogs are walked daily at the kennels so i have experience in controlling different sized dogs, i also have some dog training skills so can offer to continue any training that you have started with your dog or try some techniques of my own to help any behavioural issues you have with your dog.
