About Me/ Company

PetStay home boarding for dogs is an alternative to kennels, providing a less stressful environment for your dog and peace of mind for you whilst you are away on holiday. Home boarding is about your dog being in a comfortable, happy environment in a home, with lots of safeguards in place, but without kennels or cages. When we receive an enquiry we take details about your dog and then carefully match them to one of our trusted dog carers who have been hand-picked by us, interviewed, licensed and insured. We try to find a carer who lives close to you, but more importantly we choose one who will be most suitable for your dog. We then organise a no obligation meeting for you to visit the carer to make sure that you, and your dog, are happy with the carer we have chosen.
While staying with the carer, your dog will be treated as one of the family with all the usual routines being kept. Only dogs from the same household are boarded together.

Previous Experience

Sally and Garrod Cooper have been PetStay franchisees since October 2012. Previously we were carers for PetStay, enjoying the company of many lovely dogs while their owners were away on holiday. We are delighted to have become franchisees as we know we are part of a well run organisation which provides an excellent service to owners and their dogs.
Before our move to Yorkshire, we were very involved with a small animal rescue charity in Dorset. One of the most enjoyable aspects of our volunteering was fostering dogs while they waited to find their 'forever homes'. Some stayed with us for just a few days or weeks, but the older dogs and those who were unwell took longer to place. We found that when a dog had been with us for quite a while they became such a part of the family that we didn't want to part with them and we adopted them ourselves! We felt so privileged to be able to care for these wonderful 'oldies' in their twilight years and really enjoyed their company.
We are looking forward to continuing our role as PetStay carers and are also very excited at the prospect of being able to introduce many dog owners to a dedicated team of carers who will work to provide a loving home away from home for the dogs in their care.

Qualifications & Training

All our carers are genuine dog lovers, have a secure garden and are at home for most of the day so they are able to give lots of love and attention to the dogs in their care.
All carers are carefully vetted, insured and licensed by their council.

Relevant Info

We are looking for new carers to join our team of dedicated dog lovers. Being a PetStay carer is a wonderful opportunity to share your home with many lovely dogs, without the commitment of having a dog of your own. Carers are paid £70/week for one dog, £108.50 for two dogs and £161 for three dogs (from the same household). Owners provide all the food and PetStay provides carers with Public Liability Insurance. Carers always meet dogs before agreeing to take them.
