About Me/ Company

My name is Nickie Torbet. I am and always have been passionnate about animals, and have owned cats / dogs / guinea pigs all my life. I work as a volunteer with greyhound rescue and also foster and rehabilitate dogs from all different backgrounds, to prepare them for their forever homes.

Starting this business has been a dream I've had for many years. Not Just Paws offers a bespoke pet care service - Special Care for Special Pets - to me a pet is not just an animal, he / she is a treasured family member and each has his / her own likes, dislikes, habits and special needs. Having owned a dog with multiple complex medical problems, I've gained valuable experience in adding life to each of her days, discovering new walks and activities that she can enjoy no matter how much energy she has. I have trained and rehabilitated dogs
Having worked in senior roles which meant I regularly had to leave my pets with other people to look after whilst I was on business trips or working late, I know how important it is to have someone who really understands how to read my pets and provide the special care that they need so that I can have peace of mind whilst I am away. I also understand how important it is to have a flexible carer who can respond when I was inadvertently held up so that my pets are not left uncared for at any time.
