About Me/ Company

Look Forward Dog Services was established as I aim to help people with their dogs.
I offer dog walking and sitting facilities and also a letting out services as I appreciate that some people require this service also.

Previous Experience

I have worked with dogs for over 20 years in several occupations including dog rescue kennels, veterinary nursing, Dog wardening and most recently working for Dogs Trust.
I have owned many dogs in the last 20 years including many rescue dogs with a variety of challenging behaviours.
I currently own 3 dogs and compete in agility.
I have dog sat and walked a number of dogs in the past and often fostered dogs for Dogs Trust while I was employed by them.
I have also Instructed successful puppy/dog training classes for dogs Trust for 2 years.
I have been on several canine behavioural courses and attended seminars as well.

Qualifications & Training

I qualified as an Animal Nursing Assistant with the British Veterinary Nursing Association in June 2007 and a Dog Training Instructor with the Cambridge Institute of Canine Behaviour & Training in June 2012.

Other Services

I offer Dog Training and 1-2-1 Behavioural Consultations.

All my training is positive reward based, I don't believe in dominance reduction or negative correction techniques.

I also offer Consultations for clients prior to taking a dog into their home either from a rescue environment or a puppy. I advise how to settle the dog/puppy into the home, how to read calming signals (Dog language!) and how to prevent problems occuring.
