About Me/ Company

A professional dog walking service in Ipswich, Colchester and surrounding areas. Our dog walkers are hand picked and have undergone training with our experienced and highly respected resident dog behaviour and management coach, Candy Rogers, before they can undertake any work for us.

All of our dog walkers are insured and CRB checked.

We aim to offer an exceptional and unique dog walking service to our clients whose wishes are paramount and are the foundation of our business.

We understand how busy life can be, fitting everything into our daily lives can be a struggle. We are here to help - use us once a week, five days a week, or once a month! Whatever suits you - there when you need us.

Not everyone has the luxury of a cooperative dog while out walking so we are prepared to take on the more difficult dogs. Your dog will be assessed before an appropriate walker is assigned to you. Help with dog behaviour or training is available to you on request.

We always aim to make the walk as safe and as enjoyable as possible for your dog giving you the peace of mind knowing your dog is in capable hands. A text message will let you know that your dog has returned home safely after the walk.

We also offer an emergency service - we can step in at short notice for walking, feeding or visiting.

Previous Experience

Leading By Instinct (UK) is a newly formed dog walking company based in Ipswich, Suffolk and soon to be expanding into many areas of the UK.

The Professional Dog Walking Service is co-owned by sisters, Nikki and Candy Rogers. Owners of rescue dogs all their lives, they both have two dogs each at present. Nikki has a Boxer x Whippet and a Retriever X while Candy has a Staffordshire Bull Terrier x Beagle and a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

Nikki had been an administrative executive at the University of Essex for the past 25 years and has brought a highly professional approach along with superior organisational skills into running the company. Leading By Instinct (UK) clients can rest assured that they will be well looked after through Nikki's professionalism and that they and their dogs' needs will be paramount.

Candy is the resident dog behaviour and management coach and has a well established dog behaviour business with over 500 clients. She has a highly commendable reputation for solving dog behaviour problems. Her clients find her approachable, friendly and compassionate whilst showing a complete understanding of dog behaviour and considerable expertise in handling dogs.

Together Nikki and Candy make a great team. Both believe the client's (two-legged and four-legged!) needs are paramount and the Dog Walking Service operates with that to the forefront.

They are looking forward to providing an exceptional and unique service to their clients in the future.

Other Services

Standard Dog Walks
Your dog will be walked by a trained dog walker at times that suit you. Picked up, taken for a forty minute walk, towelled dry, eyes and ears checked for foreign bodies (grass seeds, etc), fresh water provided and a text sent to you informing you your dog has returned home safe and well.

Difficult Dogs
Walking difficult dogs will be undertaken - your dog will be assessed by our dog behaviour expert before a suitable walker is assigned to you. Further help can be arranged on request.

On request we will endeavour to improve your dog's general behaviour on the lead e.g. pulling, which will also make walks more enjoyable for the dog and the owner!

Dog Feeding/visiting
Should you need to have your dog fed at a certain time ( medication, late back from work, etc) and are unable to be there when necessary or you may want your dog kept company ( an older dog that is unable to walk far but might like company with or without being walked ) you can rely on us to be there.

Emergency Service - if you are unable to walk your dog due to an emergency we can step in at short notice.
