Qualifications & Training

All our carer homes are inspected and approved by us only if they reach our high standards. All are NON SMOKING; have a comfortable in-door sleeping area for your dog; a suitable fully enclosed garden and are rurally situated, with suitable walks nearby and are completely home based - there for your dog only. No other pet duties taking them away from caring for YOUR dog.
Homes vary from dog owning to non-dog owning; families to retired couples or single carers. All have time at home and have excellent experience of owning and looking after dogs. Some have smaller gardens and prefer smaller dogs and some have literally acres of land able to accommodate larger or two dogs from the same household.

This is an opportunity for someone who would love to care for a pet dog on a short term basis but holding a perminant carer position. Income is supplementary - perhaps supplementing a pension or providing a contribution towards the family income or even just a bit of ‘me money’! If you love dogs and have time at home this is the job for you.

As a holidays 4 Dogs carer you will make friends with both dogs and their owners who will always appreciate the kindness you show and will want to visit time and time again. Many of our carers find caring for a dog for a week or two ideal without the long term commitment to owning their own dog, alternatively others already have a dog of their own but would love some visiting friends. All our dogs are well behaved and you always get to meet them first.

Our standards as a Holidays 4 Dogs approved carer are VERY high, but if you can answer YES to the questions below, we would be delighted to speak to you.
