About Me/ Company

If you are looking for somebody who is kind, responsible, patient and understanding then this is the service for you.
My name is Lidewij and I am 23 years old, from Holland. I have been walking dogs for a while and love it, so now I started my own dog walking service!

I educate myself as much as possible about dogs reading books, watching informative shows and walking them of course.
EDA stands for exercise, discipline and affection. I would like to note this: discipline has nothing to do with aggression, intimidation or anything like that. It is an essential part of a balanced relationship between a human and his/her dog. Discipline should always be carried out in a calm and patient way, and punishment is never an option.

Previous Experience

Ever since I was little I loved dogs and have always tried to surround myself with them and walking people's dogs. Nowadays I am in the park every day talking to other dog walkers and meeting as many dogs as I can.
I have had succes with a few dogs working with them to become more obedient and balanced. This has given me more confidence.

I can give you an example:
Ollie is a lovely West Highland white terrier and he is full of life and attitude. But sometimes a bit too much. During the walk he likes to pull you everywhere and sometimes his attitude toward other dogs is not ideal.
I have been spending time walking him, getting him to walk next to his 'enemy' George, a beautiful labrador with a great personality. Now he is much better, he walks next to me or behind me, doesn't pull and he seems happier and is now more interested in other dogs. To me this was a very rewarding experience and it actually gave me the confidence to start my own business.

Qualifications & Training

I posses no official qualifications regarding dogs but I am considering to study dog behaviour maybe not as a degree but some courses.

I live in Brixton, South London. So if you are looking for a good dog walker in that area I hope I can be of service. I live 5 minutes from Brockwell Park, an amazing space that is a refuge from the city.
If you live a bit further away I will commute to that area to walk your dog.

Other Services

Many dogs pull on the lead, some have food aggression issues or are possessive of their toys. Others have trouble with recall or are easily scared.
If you experience anything like this, I will try my best to help and will not charge anything for it, I will try to achieve this during the walk and if necessary at your home.
