About Me/ Company

Hi, my name is Shirley and I run Dogs Galore: Walkies and More in Leicester.

The services we offer are dog walking, either singly or in groups of up to 4, puppy visiting and basic training, and generally keeping your canine companions company while you are out at work or play.

With 3 dogs of my own - a Westie called Florrie, a Whippet cross called Fly and a Labrador cross called Cindy - plus six more dogs in the immediate family, we are no strangers to dog care.

We will tailor your dog's care package to your needs. This could be an hour walking, or a shorter walk and then some quality time in the dog's home. Puppy visits will include toileting, cleaning up any accidents, feeding, playing, basic training (if required) and, eventually, taking out for walks when ready.

Rates start from £10.00, with a reduced rate for each additional dog in the same household.

We offer an exclusive New Parents' Package for antenatal / postnatal pet care and a Teacher's Pet Package for term-time only care. Please contact me for further details.

Previous Experience

I have a lot of experience with dogs of different breeds. I regularly look after a Labrador, a Springer Spaniel, a Boston Terrier, a Jack Russel and a Pug here in Leicester, and have other clients who need occasional weekend care. These include a Labradoodle, a Husky Malamute cross and a Golden Retriever.

I have a pet first aid certificate and have almost completed my Puppy School training course. I only use positive reinforcement methods with the dogs in my care.

Qualifications & Training

I am currently studying for a Certificate in Canine Behaviour and am undertaking training to become a Puppy School tutor. I completed a pet first aid course earlier this year.
