About Me/ Company
Hi my name is Catherine and I am 37. I have been working with various different animals for many years through past and present positions in both paid and voluntary work. My favourite kind of animals to work with are dogs and cats.
I returned to the UK last year after spending 7 years in South Africa and 2 years in Australia. I worked on a Cheetah Farm in South Africa for over two years as a Cheetah Handler and i also went to Botswana for 2 and half months to assist with the Botswana Cheetah conservation foundation. I then went on to do a Counselling Communication Diploma as i also enjoy working with people. I also did alot of volunteer work with various animal welfare organisations in South Africa where i walked dogs, looked after cats and puppies and cleaned out Kennels.
In Australia i did a business course and some Vet Nursing and Animal Attendent work. I assisted the vet Nurses at times and looked after the dogs and cats in boarding. I also did some volunteer work at a Local wildlife Park in Perth Australia.
Presently I am looking for dog walking and pet sitting to work to fit around my part time job.
I have references that i can provide from past voluntary and work positions.
Previous Experience
I presently hold two volunteer jobs at an Animal Sanctuary and at the Blue cross charity shop.
Cheetah Outreach worked as Cheetah Handler.
Cheetah Conservation Botswana tracking Cheetahs with Vet and designing Education Booklets.
Animal Welfare Organisations in South Africa where walked dogs, Cleaned Kennels, looked after Puppies and Cats.
Caversham Wildlife Park in perth Australia where talked to guests about wildlife, Assisted in shows where held various different wildlife. Learned alot about Australian wildlife.
Sydney Animal Hospitals in Sydney Australia where worked as an animal Attendent and some Vet Nurse training. Walked dogs and cared for all Animals in boarding
Ultimo Tafe - Studied Vet Nursing.
Qualifications & Training
I will soon be starting a Level 2 Dog Grooming course
Diploma in Counselling Communication, Cape Town, South Africa
Cert III in Business, Perth, Australia.
Cert IV in Vet Nursing, Sydney, Australia, Completed half.
Most of my Qualifications come from Volunteer work and paid employment.
Relevant Info
I live in the west midlands area and I can also travel to other areas to do home sitting and dog walking as i am flexible with hours.
