About Me/ Company

Hi, my name is Cat - not terribly suitable, I know, but the dogs don't seem to mind. I'm 26, live in Monmouth, absolutely love dogs and have always owned one or five but can't at the moment unfortunately due to being in rented accommodation, plus have a cat! For this reason, I'm unable to pet sit at my home but would be willing to house sit at your own property if required - causes less stress on the dog's part too! I'm flexible on where I travel to, provided my sat nav can find it! Ideally, I'd like to go for a walk with you and your dog(s) to see how we get on and to follow any routes your pets are used to, if need be.

I'm currently working at a pub Tuesday to Saturday but would be able to find cover for up to two weeks or more given enough notice.

Previous Experience

A few years ago I worked at an animal rescue centre and used to frequently house-sit for the owners, looking after their animals - consisting of 8 dogs, 2 cats, 2 goats, 2 alpacas, 5 sheep, 4 chickens and some ducks. Although not quite the same as direct pet-sitting I have worked in several boarding kennels - in Sydney, Kent and most recently near Chepstow. Through this I'm used to handling small dogs such as Jack Russells and Westies to the slightly larger Rottweilers, Mastiffs, Akitas and Malamutes. As some of the kennels also had rescue animals I'm used to handling slightly more aggressive and timid dogs, giving them the time they need to get used to me.

Qualifications & Training

I have a triple distinction National Diploma in Animal Management and NVQ Level 1 in Animal Care.
